New Player in Las Vegas Casino Industry Brings More Than IP Cameras

Unity Surveillance, Inc. (“Unity”) continues to challenge the traditional model of security integration, expanding its nationwide footprint to include the gambling capital of North America.

LAS VEGAS, NV — Fast forward a little more than a decade after its leadership team first began investing in research and development, Unity Surveillance Inc. (“Unity”) becomes the newest security integrator to operate within Las Vegas, Nevada. After meeting each of the applicable system requirements set forth by the Nevada Gaming Control Board, the Arkansas-based security integrator is delivering its proprietary set of IP network cameras to The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower. As the company officially enters the Las Vegas market, the large-scale project will serve as an opportunity for Unity to demonstrate its competitive advantage and introduce its unique solution offerings to the local gaming community.

As one of the few companies that operates as both a manufacturer (or “distributor”) and integrator, Unity Surveillance serves as a single point of contact for Casino Resorts, Sports Books and Native American Casinos throughout consultation, procurement, installation and maintenance. More importantly, the company has become one of the only US-based security integrators to specialize in the North American casino (“gaming”) industry.

The new Las Vegas project will place nearly 2,000 X-Stream Luminite™ security cameras, developed by Unity Surveillance, across more than 100 floors within the STRAT, including those dedicated to gaming.

To ensure the success of the new project, Unity brings onboard Las-Vegas-native Mario Coleman as a full-time Unity Systems Engineer to work on site with the STRAT’s technical staff. With an extensive background in structured cabling and IT network management, Mr. Coleman will not only play an integral role in the installation of the new security cameras, but also in Unity’s prevailing Las Vegas presence.

When asked what led him to join Unity Surveillance, Coleman instantly generated one word: integrity. “From day one, it was clear that the company takes pride in its work, and that’s something that I do—always. Overall, I’m very honored and humbled to be a part of this project and I’m excited to bring these new technologies to my hometown.”

The project serves as a major milestone for the company as it now maintains a nationwide presence that spans from Atlantic City, NJ to Fort Lauderdale, FL to Sacramento, CA. Consistent with its unique value proposition, the founders of Unity maintain a hands-on approach that provides casino stakeholders with the assurance that direct support is never more than a call away.

The project is currently underway and headed by Jonathan Terauchi, President of Unity Surveillance, and Christopher Stevens, Director of Technical Services.
